The MiraTone Festival (formerly known as the New Millennium Chamber Music Festival) greets its audience this year with Beethoven's chamber music. The opening concert will feature the festival hosts: American-Hungarian violinist Miranda Liu, her V4 String Quartet, which was formed in 2021 in the spirit of Central and Eastern European cultural cooperation, and this time László Borbély, one of today's most outstanding Hungarian pianists, a regular participant in both domestic and international music festivals, and associate professor at the Liszt Academy of Music.
The program includes Beethoven's Violin Sonata, considered by many to be one of his most enchanting, as well as one of his late string quartets, the famous Op. 132 in A minor, which includes the renowned "Heiliger Dankgesang" (Holy Song of Thanksgiving) movement.
